This is an experimental Chat GPT integration into Storyline 360 using a number of tools I’ve never used before.
Please feel free try it out, but I would kindly ask that you keep usage to just testing as this does require me to purchase tokens for the ChatGPT API calls.
Note that the first response may take up to 60 seconds since I’m hosting this through a free middleware server – in an actual course deployment, this would be on a paid server and have near-instant responses.
This is based on my Articulate Storyline 360 Branching Scenario project that uses the Crucial Conversations framework. The user can choose from 4 different scenarios and then have dynamic conversations with the AI employee. The user responses are sent to ChatGPT using OpenAI’s API via a middleware server to protect the security of the API keys. This uses model 4.1-nano to create a response that will modify the employee avatar’s body language and appear as on-screen text.
Based on the Crucial Conversations framework, this scenario emphasizes psychological safety, clear communication, and leadership tone. Your choices will shape the flow of the conversation and the impact it has on your employee.
