I am Glen Simpson, and I founded GS Professional Consulting LLC as a way to expand my instructional design career beyond my regular full-time job.
I have always enjoyed learning new things, whether it’s an academic subject, a new skill, a game, or the lore of some fictional universe. When it comes to technical knowledge, I seem to have a penchant for helping others learn too.
Before I became an instructional designer, I ended up conducting trainings for colleagues at almost every job I’ve ever had, including when I was a high-school physics teacher. I have also tutored students at every level, from elementary school up through undergraduate college courses.
I have witnessed first-hand, and experienced, the frustrations that come with poorly planned, unengaging, and ineffective training. There is no reason that professional learning has to be a miserable experience, and I am committed to providing better.
